When I first arrived in the States, I considered adopting an English name. I thought about calling myself Jasmine, inspired by the beautiful flower. However, my Ukrainian officemate questioned my decision to change my name. I explained my concern about people struggling to pronounce my original name. He assured me that my name was beautiful and unique, and I should embrace my individuality.
Throughout my career, I've continually learned the importance of accepting and celebrating who I am. Embracing my uniqueness has proven to be both powerful and beautiful.
